It has been a when yard and tailgating favorite! Now, test your skills in this fun, recreational league! Teams of two will be playing seven heady weeks of league play, followed by a single suppuration playoff. The league is unshut to male and sexuality players. Boards and tons will be provided. This league is offered through the collaboration between the cities of Bloomington and Richfield. Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays (separate leagues) Dates: June 5 - July 31, 2018, No games July 3 and 5 Fee: $55 per team Registration Deadline: May 22, 2018 Location: Taft Park, 1800 E. 63rd St Richfield, MN Basketball (winter) Teams play a ten week regular season schedule and a single suppuration playoff. All games will be officiated by two officials. Games are played five versus five. All participants must be 18 years of age or older. Days: Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Dates: December 2, 2018 - March 10, 2019 Resident Fee: $620 Non-Resident Fee: $645 Returning Team Registration Period: October 8 - 26, 2018 New Team Registration Opens: October 31 Registration Deadline: November 21 Location: Kennedy Activity Center, 150 E 98th Street Dodgeball (fall and winter) Relive your diaper with a gym matriculation favorite, Dodgeball! The league will be supervised, but teams undeniability themselves out when hit. Winter League: Days: Thursdays Dates: January 10 - March 14, 2019 Fee: $135 per team Registration Opens: November 9, 2018 Registration Deadline: January 2, 2019 Location: Richfield STEM School Teams will play an eight game regular season, plus playoffs! Football (fall) Games are played on fields that are 90 yards from end line to end line and 40 yards wide. Field markings include 15 and 35 yard lines that moreover serve as first lanugo markers. Bloomington has the luxury of having the MSF's Touch Football Rules Interpreter work as the lead official for the leagues. Games are played seven versus seven and are 50 minutes long. All participants must be 18 years of age or older. Days: Wednesdays Dates: August 29 - October 10, 2018 Times: 6:15 - 9:50 p.m. Resident Fee: $575 Non-Resident Fee: $600 Returning Team Registration Period: July 2 - 20 New Team Registration Opens: July 23 Registration Deadline: August 17 Location: Dred Scott North Field - 10820 Bloomington Ferry Road Kickball (summer and fall) Grab your friends and join us for a wham from your gym matriculation past with our kickball league! Co-Rec teams will play a ten game regular season, with a single suppuration playoff with officials and bases. League fees includes: kickball (1 per team), scheduling of a field, game officials and league championship prizes. This league is offered through the collaboration between the cities of Bloomington and Richfield.  Summer League: Days: Thursdays Dates: May 10 - July 13, 2018 + single suppuration playoff Times: 6:15 - 10:20 p.m. Fee: $285 per team Returning Team Registration Period: March 12 - 30. 2018 New Team Registration Opens: April 2, 2018 Registration Deadline: April 27, 2018 Location: Valley View Playfields, 501 E 90th St, Bloomington Fall League: Days: Thursdays Dates: August 30 - October 4, 2018 Times: 6:15 - 10:20 p.m. Fee: $185 per team Returning Team Registration Period: July 2 - 20, 2018 New Team Registration Opens: July 23, 2018 Registration Deadline: August 17, 2018 Location: Valley View Playfields, 501 E 90th St, Bloomington Pickleball Pickleball is a racquet sport; much like a combination of badminton, table tennis, tennis, racquetball and similar sports. Pickleball is played on a magistrate well-nigh one-third the size of a tennis court. The wittiness we use is a whiffle ball. The racquets we use are similar to table tennis paddles, but a little larger and built to handle the larger ball; but smaller than a racquetball racquet. The net wideness the magistrate is like that on a tennis court, but just a little lower in height. And the markings on the magistrate are much like those of a tennis court, badminton court, or table-tennis table. We play games to eleven points, you must win by two points. Doubles play is the norm, but singles is growing in popularity. Bloomington Armory - 3300 West 98th Street Hyland Hills Summer Months – unshut play (unscheduled) Westwood Athletic Fields Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday at 9 a.m. Pickleball and Tennis Locations Pickleball in increasingly detail... When playing pickleball, the serve must be hit underhand and each team must play their first shot off the bounce.Withoutthe wittiness has bounced once on each side, both teams can either volley the wittiness in the air or play it off the bounce. This eliminates the serve and volley wholesomeness and prolongs the rallies. To volley a wittiness ways to hit it in the air without first letting it bounce. No volleying is permitted within the seven-foot, non-volley zone (called the kitchen). Players cannot executing a smash from a position within this seven-foot zone on both sides of the net. Both players on the serving team are unliable to serve, and the team scores points only when serving. A game is played to eleven points and a team must win by two points. Points are lost by hitting the wittiness out of bounds, hitting the net, stepping into the non-volley zone when volleying the ball, or by volleying the wittiness surpassing the wittiness has bounced once on each side of the net. Spikeball (summer) A sport that's described as a hybrid of volleyball and foursquare, but on steroids! This whoopee packed 2-on-2 game matches co-rec teams in a circular extravaganza to decide who the next Spikeball champion will be. Kick off your shoes and join us in the sand for some heady Spikeball whoopee under the sun! All equipment is provided. This league is offered through the collaboration between the cities of Bloomington and Richfield.  Days: Mondays Dates: June 4 - August 6, 2018 Fee: $65 per team Registraiton Opens: April 9, 2018 Registration Deadline: May 18, 2018 Location: Dred Scott Playfields, 10820 Bloomington Ferry Road Video of How To Play Spikeball with Team Spikeball Tennis leagues and lessons (summer) Leagues are a long-standing tradition in the municipality of Bloomington. Singles and Doubles leagues at a variety of worthiness levels are offered to both men and women. Leagues run June through August and take place at a variety of courts throughout Bloomington. Pickleball and Tennis Locations *Tennis magistrate nets will be installed at Reynolds Park and Smith Park from approximately April until October, all other sites will have nets installed year round Men's and mixed doubles tennis leagues This year, Bloomington Parks and Recreation is offering a Men's Doubles league and a Mixed Doubles League. Play begins in June. 2018 Men's and MixedSultanaTennis Information and Registration Women's tennis leagues The Bloomington Women's Tennis Club offers a Singles Ladder, where players of a variety of worthiness levels rencontre each other and have the flexibility to schedule their own matches. New team registration will be August 21 - September 14. Teams will play a ten-match regular season schedule.  Teams are encouraged to play with three females and three males; however teams consisting of four females and two males are acceptable.  Winter season: Returning 2017 team registration will be October 29 - November 16. New team registration will be November 21 - December 14. Play begins Tuesday, January 2. Teams will play a 10 match season. ALL LEAGUES (summer, fall and winter): Each match consists of 3 games played to 25 points using rally scoring system. All matches have a 1 hour time limit. Teams should plan to provide a warm-up wittiness if they desire. One wittiness will be provided for play per magistrate during the season. An outside wittiness may be used during league play if both teams agree. To squire teams in finding the towardly Bloomington volleyball league for the upcoming season, the Parks and Recreation Division classifies its volleyball leagues with to Gold, Silver, and Bronze designations.  We will protract to sanction teams with MRPA at B, C, & D levels but does not designate leagues in that manner.  To help teams understand the new designations, league definitions are: Gold Leagues: Bloomington’s highest level of play, intended for teams seeking a competitive volleyball experience; additionally, players must have the worthiness to virtuously undeniability fouls on themselves. Silver Leagues: Leagues intended for teams who desire a moderately competitive, recreational volleyball experience. Cancellation/withdrawal policy Full refunds will be processed if the league your team is registered for is cancelled by Parks and Recreation due to lack of teams. Prorated refunds will be processed if scheduled games are cancelled and make up dates are not misogynist due to unavailable facilities. Teams will receive a full refund less a $50 service tuition if your team withdraws at least 3 weeks surpassing the start of play. Refunds will not be processed if your team withdraws less than 3 weeks surpassing the start of play or if your team is removed from the league due to disciplinary action. Weather/Cancelations In the event of ripply weather, the pursuit procedures will take place: The league director will determine if the games are to be played on that evening and update the weather line by 4 p.m. The visualization will be recorded on the weather line at 952-563-8878 option 1.
